Calon Tysul was formed in 2017 after Ceredigion County Council transferred ownership of ‘Llandysul Leisure Centre’ to the Trustees of Llandysul Aqua Centre.

Calon Tysul is more than just a swimming pool and leisure centre. We are here to support, inspire and encourage the residents of Llandysul and surrounding areas to take part in a wide range of social activities. Whether it’s swimming in our pool, lifting weights in their fitness room or taking part in a craft workshop in the multi-purpose room, there’s something for everyone.

RWE’s Brechfa Forest West Wind Farm Fund have been providing funding to Calon Tysul since 2018 to help cover staffing costs and develop their programmes with younger and older residents. The fund has also provided consultant support to help the group identify further funding to ensure the organisation’s financial sustainability.

When energy costs soared, putting the future of the Centre of risk, the fund provided additional support to enable the centre to continue to function whilst they developed a renewables installation programme. Matt from Calon Tysul tells you more here:
